Dynotest HUB 1600 is the best dyno for high-powered cars. The biggest benefit over roller dyno is that there is no possible error in wheel slip. Dyno is attached directly to the wheel hub, it takes really small space and dyno is portable. After using dyno, you can push it in corner of your workshop or tuning garage and use that place for something else.

Dyno uses 2 types of adapters. First for 5 screw hubs and second for 4 screw hubs.

The controller can log up to 8 EGT sensors and a wideband lambda sensor – LSU4.9.

Much safer environment as there is no possibility for the tire to explode or the strap to broke.

Installation time takes only up to 10 minutes.

More precise than roller dyno, because there are no loss in tires, no wheel slip, no straps. Straps can cause some error because the results of dyno can vary depending on how tight these straps are.

Quiet in operation as there is no noise from rollers or tyres.

High repeatability – many variables are eliminated, which gives precise results.

Controller description:

  • 3 analog (0V-5V) inputs, for example for Lambda sensors, MAP, boost, etc.
  • Horsepower correction factor using SAE J1349 (based on temperature, ambient pressure, and humidity from manual entry or from environmental sensors
  • Support for low-cost OBD2 adapters (Bluetooth or USB) in the ELM327 series
  • Support for low-cost USB CAN bus adapters
  • Support for KMTronic external relays, controlled by buttons or by data channels being over or under a threshold. Use this to for example automatically turn on a fan.
  • Easy to use software with setup wizards and calibration options
  • wideband lambda – LSU 4.9
  • 8 x K-type thermocouple input

Test modes:

  • manual RPM control – can step through the RPM range manually. In the case of mapping the engine at constant engine speed and different load levels.
  • power sweep – controller uses user-defined acceleration rate (simple dyno graph)
  • brake sweep – smooth RPM increase in case of simulating vehicle climbing mountain. No PID control.
  • load control mode – for high torque cars
  • inertial mode – for low powered cars possible to measure without braking rollers electronically
